About

Group Wrk is a project centered around creativity through unity.

As a teacher I found that when students are able to work together effectively, there is an increase in both creative output and the fun had! We live in a world that is increasingly divided into sub-cultures and niches that can often stifle the creative thinking that has united us in the past.

The goal of Group Wrk is to use design and storytelling to help encourage creativity and unity in the world around each of us.

Collaborators

AARON ROTH

I'm a high school multimedia teacher by day and a dad and serial hobbyist the rest of the time. I do the screen printing, designing (with these other rad people), order fulfillment and other odds and ends for Group Wrk. @rothisrad

ANDY DUTTON

I’m a middle school engineering/digital media teacher and photographer. I dabble in graphic design, and appreciate simple clean design. I also know Aaron, and he’s pretty rad, which makes me rad too.  @ad__sneaks

BRYCE WONG

Bryce still hasn't sent in his 2-sentence bio. Nobody is perfect, but that doesn't mean they aren't rad. @bbbrycewong

The Bolt

The concept behind the bolt came about as I was exploring a way to represent the concepts of unity and creative collaboration. One of the early-ish sketches had two heads with a bolt between them as a representation of that creative spark/connection.

From those sketches I ended up with the bolt you see in Group Wrk branding and products today. We all get that spark of creativity, whether on our own or when we work with others so it felt like the perfect symbol to use for this project.
