The origins of the peace symbol go back to British designer Gerald Holtom and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in 1958. The movement was a response to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the ensuing Cold War.
This shirt takes our first design we released, Peace is a Group Project, but with colors inspired by A Dictionary of Color Combinations by Sanzo Wada and the text in Japanese.
